MARC ON THE AIR
Updated May 31, 2009
The much delayed airing of Marc’s interview
on Los Angeles television’s KCET “SoCal
Connected” program finally happened in April.
The interview, videotaped last September,
can be seen on the
KCET website.  Scroll
down the page for the video on Marc.

On April 26th, a documentary filmed
exclusively for Asahi TV in Japan aired
featuring Marc once again as the subject of a
study on the brain. They performed an EEG
study on his brain in comparison to other kids
his age, both musicians and non-musicians.
On January 24, 2009, Marc delivered a speech and performed selections by Mozart, Chopin and
others in a solo benefit concert for the
China-California Heart Watch organization, raising $8,500
to help save the lives of impoverished rural Chinese children born with heart defects.
Many people have been asking about Marc’s
Carnegie Hall debut, and the date has been
confirmed as October 27, 2009.  This will not
be a solo debut however, nor will it be a
concert by
Lang Lang in which Marc is a
guest, as it was for the Royal Albert Hall show
last August.  Lang Lang and Marc will again
perform together, but only a short duet, as
they will be one of many acts performing that
evening.  The details of the show are still in
the works and we will give you updates as
soon as they become available.

But Carnegie Hall isn’t our most exciting
news!  Marc has been invited to perform at
the Ludwig Van Beethoven Festival in
Warsaw, Poland!  He is scheduled to perform
Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 on Sunday,
November 15, 2009 with the Beethoven
Academy Orchestra under the direction of
conductor Nicola Paszkowski.  For more
information on this event, please visit the
Ludwig Van Beethoven Association website.
MUSIC SAVING LIVES
UPCOMING PERFORMANCES
Dr. Robert Detrano, president of the organization, recently informed
us of a young boy in China who was saved thanks to a portion of the
money raised at Marc’s benefit performance.  Cui Jing, a six-year-
old from the Yunan Province was born with congenital heart
disease and had little chance of living a few more years.  But thanks
to the donations of everyone who attended Marc’s concert, Cui
Jing was able to receive the open heart surgery that he needed to
survive, and is now on his way to being a normal, healthy child.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this miracle possible.
