I visit Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall for the first time
while in New York City to film the title sequence for TLC's
"My Life as a Child"; a documentary TV series in which 20
kids including myself were given digital cameras to film
their lives from their own perspective over several months.

Lang Lang and I perform together for
the first time! We play Schubert's
Fantasie in F Minor privately backstage
for the cameras of an upcoming BBC
National Geographic documentary
called "My Brilliant Brain". During a
taped interview together after our
performance, Lang Lang announces his
plans for me to perform with him at
Carnegie Hall in 2009! I can barely stay
seated, I am so excited!

"My Brilliant Brain"

The National Geographic documentary series “My Brilliant Brain” premieres on
BBC in England with the episode titled “Born Genius”. This is the documenatary
that features my first piano duet with Lang Lang on February 7, where he
announced his plan for my Carnegie Hall debut.

I give my first live performance at the Science Museum in Hong Kong during
a panel discussion involving my mom Chloe on how to nurture a child.

Promotional tour for National Geographic
age: 8 years 10 months
I do my first performance tour, for National Geographic,
to promote their documentary "My Brilliant Brain" which
aired in China that week. I had the honor to perform at
Victoria Hall in Singapore and in Taipei, Taiwan!

Las Vegas debut with Lang Lang!
age: 8 years 5 months
I make my Las Vegas debut with Lang Lang at the Lake
Las Vegas Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada! We performed
Schubert's Fantasie in F Minor on a stage that actually
floats on the lake! During the show, it got so windy that
at times the music nearly flew off the piano!
